I believe I am going to get a Nexus this Friday. I've been curious to find out what people love about their own. I think the biggest reason why I'm getting mine is because I gave my parents my laptop since they needed a computer. I have a beefy gaming pc so I'm in no real need of a laptop so I figured this will do nicely. Also, GBA and Snes emulators. That sounds super appealing to me to.

How are you guys liking yours? Is it nice to have around for when you're away from a desktop? Of course I also have to ask this, How is it for reading manga/watching anime?

Nexus 7? Hope they're better than the Nexus 6 model Replicants. They were pretty dangerous.

besides it having Jellybean..... and the phablet feature..... to me its the same exact thing as a galaxy tab 2...... if you where to change the rom as I did.... everything pretty much has become the same..... the only difference with the nexus 7 is that its fully HDPI equipped......
(stock version).... you can overclock this device to about 2000 mhz without overheating it. odin or heimdall works really good with this when in d/l mode..... the recovery system is just like a GT2- I would prefer to root it and change to TWRP recovery or clockwork mod... change the MD5. build. and use a new kick ass kernel like metallice a6. the battery life is longer than a GT2- P3113 version. ADB over wireless network is enabled over a stock nexus... meaning I don't have to plug in while pushing files. SDK-tools are easy to use with a nexus 7.... um... thats all I can think of at the moment.

oh and the SD & Ext-SD problem has been resolved with the nexus 7 as for the GT 2 that problem had be fixed through switching roms and redoing all the access procedures...

as far as use. its really good. Cr app has barely any problems... and reading manga on it is pretty good... since it is a 7"inch sometimes you might have to enlarge some parts while reading. but I have had no problems with a nexus 7 that I couldn't alter or change...

I've had my Nexus 7 for a while now, and it's really a nice tablet. It might be a bit small for some, but over all it works well within the size constraints. I also have an original Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 that I use as well.

Overall, the size works well for reading. It's a bit smaller than most printed manga, comparing it to my volumes of Uzumaki, so some text might be a bit tiny. Luckily, it's all digital and you can zoom in if you need to. I tend to use Komik for my reader, but Perfect Viewer also works very well. Of course, you can also use the Amazon Kindle or B&N Nook applications.

The Crunchyroll Android application works quite well on the device, although the video resolution is restricted last I saw, something I'd love to see CR fix. Watching 720p video files works great, I usually use VPlayer as it supports styled subs better than many of the other players. The Tegra 3 chip powering it is really something. I don't usually watch 1080p as it's a bit of waste since the screen doesn't support that high of a resolution so you just get a scaled version.

Its a Google tablet that runs on the android market place Its kay I knew nothing about tablets till my work forced it down my throat.

Thanks everyone for all these replies! I almost forgot I posted this before I left to work lol. This makes me feel better about making the purchase. Someone once told me they may make a 10" version but all I could find from looking online was a rumored 32gb model. I'm excited to buy some digital books with this bad boy too. AH I WANT IT NOW!

Just a few more days :(
