How long will you date someone before popping the question?
Posted 1/25/12
At least 8 months. I would never pop the question though its a man thing.

After having a divorce and discovering the horrid truth that an equal partnership means that the guy makes all the money, and the woman gets to take all of it and half of everything else, even if she was a lazy do nothing no working loud pig. I've decided never to get married again. If my girlfriend isn't down with that she can hit the road. You see since we are not married, if I decide I don't like her attitude any more, I can just take the keys to the house and car (MINE!) and throw her out.

I don't really ever wanna get married. If you love someone, can't you just be with them? Why do you have to get tied to them by law and make a big show of it?

The "Christ is the Answer" signage was during the heady days of the Chicago 7: Abby Hoffman and freedom loving hippies versus the Chicago Police during a Democrat convention held in that city....1976 era.

You're a good sport, Reita187. I didn't mean to set you up but when you answered my rhetorical question I couldn't pass it up. Take care, friend.

Because it's a sign of maturity, something you don't have.

It isn't a sign of maturity. Cohabiting couples are usually better off than married couples. And I would appreciate it if you would stop trolling every comment of mine just for the sake of it. You are just disgareeing now for the sake of disagreeing. You don't know me or what I am like so shut the hell up!

When I'm dying or dead, at that point it's perfect to start being a parent.

I proposed the first night we went out (although we talked on the phone for 3 months prior). 4 years and one 2 year old daughter later and we're still going strong. My inspiration was my parents, my dad proposed to my mom within 3 days of their first meeting, and are now about to celebrate their 30th anniversary.
