Hey, everyone. Has anyone ever played Persona 3 Portable for the PSP?? I own it and I LOVE it.

yes, although I have the ps2 version, there have been some changes in this version that I like.

Yes, and I adore it quite a bit.
The addition of the female protagonist gives you, basically, a whole new story and side to things. On top of that, it also makes you feel like you get to know SEES better than with the male protagonist. Not only do you have the original social links with the females of SEES, but now you have the males, too. That was always something I couldn't wrap myself around in the original Persona 3 and FES. They didn't have to be dating s.links. They should have at least put in Akihiko and Ken, in my opinion.

The only complaints I have about portable:
- Lack of cut scenes and animation in general (I feel like new players could be lost in some places. Like in the Hot Spring. It's just not as enjoyable.)
- Unable to choose different weapons than the Naginata/One handed sword. (First of all, bows were AWESOME for shooting golden shadows, second of all, I loved using gloves in the dungeon, dungeon, because it really decreases your chance of enemy advantages. etc.)
- Not being able to choose Theodore on the male protagonist side. (I really love Theodore!)

My favorite things:
- THE ABILITY TO CONTROL YOUR PARTY. FINALLY.
- Additional SEES s.links, (albeit Koromaru can be a give or take.)
- Shinjiro's S.Link. <3 (It actually gave him somewhat of a character, despite his circumstances.)
- Did I mention Theodore? >w>
- The ability to re-fight old boss battles.

Of course, I have more things, but that's just my favorites and complaints.

I'm surprised this thread doesn't have more posts. Are there no Persona fans here? Lol.. I bought P3 FES back when it came out and spent an entire week just playing it non-stop. Such an excellent J-RPG.

So when I heard about P3P, I basically decided I was going to have to buy a PSP right then and there, rofl. I also LOVE the addition of the new S-Links, especially Shinjiro's. I think a lot of people liked that. He was always my favorite character, so I'm glad you get to discover more about him finally. I've pretty much exhausted the game at this point. Couldn't put it down and raced through Normal, Hard and Maniac modes.

I won't touch it for awhile now. x_x It definitely is a game that gives you bang for your buck though; there are SO many hours of gameplay to be had, a classic trait of the Persona games. I think the FES release has a guarantee of 70 hours of gameplay, and that's without all the additional side content, so you do the math! If you have a PSP, enjoy RPGs and/or quirky games, I'd definitely pick up a copy of this!

PS: I loved Theodore too!

Awesome version of a game I have bought 3 times over. I listen to the songs everytime I walk now... am i the only male on this thread?

I bought recently and just love it. I hope it gets a port for the Vita, or atleast a P4P for the Vita.

I have Persona 3 and Persona 3: FES and now I have Persona 3 Portable as well.
Anyone else getting Persona 4: The golden? I'm quite excited for it

i,ve been seeing persona in the psn store for a couple of days now and still wondering if i should get it.

but after reading these posts it seems you all love it and would recommend it........so i guess im buying it

Yes Persona 3 Portable is amazing, I can't wait for Persona 4 on the vita

I find myself playing this every few nights a week.... Dunno, just can't help it. It's an awesome port. Can't wait for P4TG!!

I found the game at times to be highly addicting, where I just couldn't put it down. And yet, other times, I found myself repelled
I must say the game was very difficult in the beginning, where I had to keep grinding for pathetic exp and it made me (temporarily) lose my interest. It's also frustrating that my teammates Personas keep leveling up quickly, and mine does not

But the story is very good, with quite a few plot twists. I chose to date Yuko as the male protagonist. It'd be nice if the male protagonist could date everyone, it'd add nice variety.
